Join us for a walking photography workshop in Bootle
The workshop will introduce different approaches to architectural photography, using a range of techniques. Assistance with your cameras/devices/phones will be provided.
The workshop is open to all levels, age and backgrounds. Equipment not supplied (please bring a camera or phone).
The workshop will be led by Katherine Monaghan
Katherine Monaghan is a Liverpool based photographer
I am a photographic artist, facilitator and photography class instructor. I have focused my work around community groups, aiming to help raise awareness of the importance of community. I aim to use photography as a tool to help platform unheard voices and share the multitude and diversity of human stories.
I shoot a range of content, but always with the same considered style, attention to detail and focus on light and shadows. I love highlighting the little details in everyday life, teasing out the intrigue in the familiar. I am to discover and emphasise patterns, shape and colour in seemingly ordinary scenes.In terms of photographic content, Ilike to capture interesting architecture, still scenes and people.
The route includes the brutalist architecture of the strand and old listed buildings, passing along the canal, the industrial warehouse buildings at the docks and ferry port, and some traditional and modern architecture in residential areas. The early evening walk (the golden hour.) will provide best light and shadows for photography.

Please meet 15 minutes before the workshop is due to start.
Please note the workshop route is not fixed, and is subject to change depending on weather and participant numbers. The end location may be different to the start location. The photography lead and LAF volunteers will be available to guide participants back to the starting location if needed.

Tickets must be ordered in advance of all events and will not be available to book at the event.
Please do not travel to, or attend, LAF events if you are unwell. If you can no longer attend an event due to illness, please return your ticker via Eventbrite, or inform us so we can reallocate your ticket.
We will be photographing this event and the images may be used to publicise future LAF events.
