‘Behind the Curtain’ is a guided tour series to explore some of City Region’s most iconic cultural venues.
Join us as we uncover the inner workings of these performance spaces, from the green room, rehearsal spaces to the stage itself. These unique experiences led by the in-house teams will provide an insight into how their buildings have had to evolve to remain world class.
As part of the Liverpool Architecutre Festival we invite you to join us in a behidn the scenes tour of the Empire Theatre, Liverpool
Opened in 1925 the theatre was designed by W. and T.R. Milburn and is Grade II Listed. The neoclassical building holds a capacity of 2,348 and the largest two-tier audiatorium in the UK.
The theatre hosts many large productions for touring musicals, comedians, operas and concerts.

From 19:00 - Post-tour drinks at The Vines.
Arrival Point: Please arrive at the front of the theatre on Lime Street. Then please make sure to sign in and assemble in the Green Room 15 minutes before your tour start time.
